Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. 

Our client is a cloud platform for business spend management (BSM). The client empowers companies worldwide with the visibility and control to spend smarter and safer. They provide a unified, cloud-based spend management platform that connects hundreds of organizations globally representing the Americas, EMEA, and APAC with millions of suppliers. 

The platform provides greater visibility into and control over how companies spend money. Small, medium and large customers have used the platform to bring billions of dollars in cumulative spending under management. 

You will be part of a global agile group responsible for building the best in class SaaS platform, deployment infrastructure, and services. The Technology Platform Team is responsible for the client’s Enterprise SaaS Application backbone. 

The client evaluates and introduces new technologies where it makes sense. They develop features that can impact all customers, tools, and frameworks to improve our process.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of working experience with Ruby on Rails technology stack.
• Experience with microservices based on AWS.
• Expertise in high-throughput message queueing systems Kafka or Rescue.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB.

Nice to have:

• Experience with frontend development.
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Go programming language.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, support new and existing microservices.
• Design, develop, maintain, and scale the client’s platform systems, services.
• Participate in functional design and code reviews.
• Find creative, elegant, and maintainable solutions to complex problems.
